Editorial policy
Independence
Sponsors buy labeled advertising space and nothing else. They do not see content before publication, do not choose topics and cannot change a requirement, source or date. Editorial decisions are made without regard to who sponsors a state.
What we publish
- Explanations of coverage types in plain English.
- Rotation-program insurance requirements recorded from their written source, with the source linked and the check dated.
- Questions operators can bring to a licensed agency.
What we never publish
- A recommendation for a carrier, agency, limit or policy.
- Premium figures, prices or any dollar amount presented as what coverage costs.
- A requirement that has not been verified against its source.
- Content about borrowing, credit or paying for coverage over time.
Authors and reviewers
Explainers and state guides name their author and licensed reviewer once assigned. TowCover never prints a stand-in name in their place.
